i need to build a go kart for phyics i need some help i dont know where to get started i searched online but?
i am not sure what to do , other ppl who might be in my group do not want to spend a penny and cuz of that i rather be alone and take on all the credit not to mention keep the end product for my self , any way i got a vertical shaft lawn mower engine its a 3.5 hp which seems okay but its vertical not a horizontal shaft which will lead to problems , if i put that engine side ways are there any danger? like it going on fire or blowing up or some thing, how will i even set up throttle and brakes and all that stuff like if i turn it on i dont want the gokart to just go kabooming or something i want to control the throttle and stuff , i found a 11 hp engine for 80$ is that worth buying for this gay project or should i just use my vertical shaft engine and put it side ways or something? or should i just buy a 49cc pocket bike for like 150-200$ and just all of its components for the gokart lets say i am 200lb will it carry me and will it be fast enough ,class is going to race winner=$300
