Can the Iridium on sunglasses and motorcycle helmet shields wipe off?
I've heard of this myth since I was a child when everyone had OAKLEYS iridium and a man in the work of his motorcycle helmet shield was stained and concerned that everything was going to delete. I remember beating the hell of my OAKLEYS, achieve wet cleaning that I could find. He seems to think that you can only use water and a soft cloth to clean or to be taken off the right of iridium. Does anyone have any proof one way or another?
If the iridium is galvanized on the glass as a film, it would take some effort to remove it. Not sure what so strong is the bond between metal and glass, but the film can be scratched. A strong acid could dissolve the film. If the indium is incorporated in the crystal, would be impossible to rub or scratch the iridium off.
